This project is a promotion for the office of sustainability at Western Washington University. This image is meant to be inviting, and simple, with a handcrafted feeling reflective of the mending event. The colors are calming and indicative of “green” design. The minimal lines contrast the complex background and the bright white text helps to offset important information in the foreground while still maintaining the overall themes of the poster.

Sketches are an important part of any artist’s process, so I thought I’d open up my sketchbook to show off some work.

This is actually a portrait of my little brother’s girlfriend to promote her tumblr/blog.  The typography is done by hand, and edited with illustrator. You can follow her on tumblr at natthehoodrat.tumblr.com

This was my first foray into the vintage/grunge style. The camera is a reference to the image editing culture made popular by instagram and vsco.

This mockup for a fictitious gig poster was an excuse to play with the low-poly geometric style. However, it is interesting to juxtapose the raw and organic Nahmaste logo with the geometric bird and background.
